Right now
No incident has been posted.
That is the only thing this line means. It is not a measurement, and it is not a claim that RideGrade is working for you.
What this page does not do
- Nothing here is automatic. No uptime monitor, no health check, and no alert writes to this page.
- It cannot see your phone, your account, or the Uber and DoorDash apps.
- An empty page and a working app look identical from here. If RideGrade is failing for you and this page is empty, that is expected — and worth reporting.
What we post here, and how fast
These are commitments about telling you, not about fixing it. There is no promised fix time, so this page does not print one.
- SEV-1 Money is wrong, data is lost, or the read loop is broken for everyone. We aim to post within 30 minutes of confirming it, and to update at least every 2 hours.
- SEV-2 One major surface is degraded — sync, sign-in, or the web dashboard — with a workaround or partial function. We aim to post within 2 hours, and to update at least every 8 hours.
- SEV-3 Cosmetic or narrow defects you might notice. May never be posted here. Support tickets are the channel for these.
Every post carries a next-update time, and we aim to post at that time, even when the update is "no change". A post that goes quiet is a broken promise, not a resolved incident.
What an incident post says
- What happened — in plain terms, from your side of the screen. If we do not know the cause yet, we say we are investigating rather than guessing out loud.
- Impact — who is affected, what still works, and whether any data or charge is involved. "No data was lost" appears only after we have checked.
- A workaround, when one exists.
- The next update time. Updates are appended, so the whole timeline stays readable, and a resolution post closes it.
Looks like an outage, is not
- A gray bubble. Gray means RideGrade could not read the offer confidently, so it declines to guess. That is the design working, not a failure.
- No bubble at all. RideGrade reads offers only after you tap Start RideGrade on Home, and stops when the shift ends. Start it before you go online.
- Nothing appears after an Android update. Android can switch Accessibility or Overlay back off on update. Re-granting both fixes most of these.
- A charge you did not expect. Pro and Pro+ are billed by Google Play, so their charges and receipts are in your Google Play account. The free Pro+ preview never charges anything.
