Frequently asked questions.

From your first bubble to your next shift.

Does RideGrade accept offers for me?

No. RideGrade does not accept or decline offers for you. It shows the read. You decide.

Where is RideGrade available?

Once RideGrade is on Google Play, it is for Android drivers across the US. Uber and DoorDash are the launch focus. Grubhub Driver and Lyft Driver are planned. RideGrade is coming soon on Android; live offer reading is still in validation.

Check feature and launch status →

Does it work on iPhone?

Android first: RideGrade needs Android 8.0 or newer. iPhone support is not part of the current scope.

What apps are supported?

Uber and DoorDash are the launch focus. Grubhub Driver and Lyft Driver are planned. RideGrade is coming soon on Android; live offer reading is still in validation.

What happens when data is missing?

Gray means missing data or low confidence. A missing payout or distance stays unknown. DoorDash shows no trip minutes, so RideGrade estimates them from the deliver-by time and marks that per-minute rate with “~”. It never accepts or declines for you.

Why does RideGrade need Accessibility?

To read the offer screen. Accessibility lets RideGrade see the pay, time, distance, and pickup and drop-off details on a DoorDash or Uber offer, notice whether you tap Accept or Decline, read the screen that follows for that offer, and see whether the driver app shows you online. Full-screen text fallback is on by default once you agree to RideGrade’s disclosure: when an offer may be showing, RideGrade reads all the text on the Uber Driver and DoorDash Dasher screens. You can turn it off in RideGrade Settings, under Apps & access. The text it reads stays on your phone, apart from screen samples you choose to send and, if you turn on stop lookup for your zones, the pickup and drop-off place names or street addresses an offer shows, which go to Google’s map lookup. It reads no other app, and it never taps, accepts, or declines. You grant Accessibility in Android Settings and can switch it off there anytime.

Why does RideGrade need Overlay?

To put the bubble on top. Overlay lets the bubble and its read card float over the offer screen while you decide. It never blocks or changes the app underneath.

Does RideGrade guarantee higher earnings?

No. RideGrade makes the offer easier to read; it does not promise earnings, savings, or better offers.

What is Pro?

Pro adds four driver modes: Go Home (Uber offers only), Low Mileage, High Hourly and Custom. It also adds your own vehicle costs, longer history in Insights (30 days, 90 days, all-time and custom ranges), a mileage log export (CSV) for your tax records, and advanced alerts: a vibration cue and a priority cue for strong offers. Pro includes cloud sync for your shifts, offers, settings and zones. You choose to turn it on. Once RideGrade is on Google Play, Pro is $5.99/month or $49.99/year, billed by Google Play. It does not add automation.

Can I tune how RideGrade reads offers?

Yes, with Pro. Once RideGrade is on Google Play, Pro’s Go Home (Uber offers only), Low Mileage, High Hourly and Custom modes change how the read weighs pay, time and distance, and Custom sets your own pay, $/mi and $/min floors. Standard is free. Confidence and your choice stay visible.

How do drivers get support?

Email support@ridegrade.app, or use the ticket form on this page. A person reads every message. We aim to answer within 2 business days. For a read that looked wrong, say which app it was (DoorDash or Uber), roughly when, and what the offer showed. Leave out passwords, payment details, and customer information. Ideas for new features go to the request form on the Roadmap page.

Where will my RideGrade app data be stored?

Offer records, decisions, mileage, and vehicle-cost inputs stay on your phone unless you turn on cloud sync (Pro). With cloud sync on, a copy of your shifts, offers, settings and saved zones can be kept in your RideGrade account; your routes, pickup and drop-off addresses, customer and store names, offer screen text and private notes stay on your phone. If you turn on screen samples, a scrubbed copy of an offer screen is sent to keep the offer reader working. If you turn on stop lookup for your zones, the pickup and drop-off place names or street addresses an offer shows are sent to Google’s map lookup to find them on the map, not tied to your RideGrade account. Review, export, and deletion controls are part of the app experience. Trust & Privacy explains the permission and data controls.

How do I request deletion of website or support data?

Email support@ridegrade.app to request deletion of a support message or to unsubscribe from updates. You can clear this website’s local storage through your browser settings. The Privacy Policy explains which website data is collected and how long it is retained.

Read website data and retention details →

Can I see my shifts and mileage on the website?

Yes, from the mileage file the app saves. In the RideGrade app, open Insights and tap Export records on the Tax records card, a Pro feature, then choose the tax year and save the file. Open that file on your account page; no sign-in is needed. Your browser reads it on your device and nothing is uploaded. You can pick dates, see your shifts, online time, miles and deduction estimate, and save or print a mileage log. It is an organized export, not tax advice.

What do Free, Pro, and Pro+ cost?

Free is $0. Pro is $5.99/month on monthly billing, or $49.99/year on annual billing. Pro+ is $11.99/month on monthly billing, or $99.99/year on annual billing. Once RideGrade is on Google Play, both are bought in the RideGrade app and billed by Google Play. The Pricing page lists included features and development status.

Can I subscribe or start the Pro+ preview now?

Once RideGrade is on Google Play, yes: Pro and Pro+ are Google Play subscriptions you buy in the RideGrade app, and they renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play. A paid plan works on every phone where you sign in to the same RideGrade account. To move up from Pro to Pro+, buy Pro+ in the RideGrade app: it changes your Pro subscription instead of adding a second one, Pro+ starts right away, and Google Play adjusts the charge for the time left on your Pro plan. To move down to Pro, or to switch between monthly and annual billing, use Google Play: a plan you cancel there stays on until the end of the period you have paid for; once it has ended, you can buy the plan you want in the app. To ask about a refund, email support@ridegrade.app. To try Multi-App before you buy Pro+, the free 14-day Pro+ preview starts in the app, with sign-in, one per account. It is for drivers on Free, opens Multi-App only, needs no payment method and never becomes a paid plan. This website does not start a subscription or charge a payment.

How do I decide whether an offer is worth taking?

Compare the offered pay with the miles and minutes needed to reach the pickup and complete the ride or delivery. Vehicle costs, waiting, and any return travel can change what you keep. There is no single dollars-per-mile target that suits every car or shift.

Walk through an example offer →

How do pickup miles change dollars per mile?

For example, a $12 offer with 2 pickup miles and 4 trip miles covers 6 miles in total, or $2 per mile before expenses. Waiting adds time even when the miles stay the same. This arithmetic explains a comparison; it is not a RideGrade score or an earnings forecast.

How do I set up Multi-App?

Set up while parked. Install and sign in to Uber Driver and Dasher, review RideGrade’s access requirements, and check that your phone and both apps allow split screen. Multi-App compares Uber and DoorDash offers. Live offer reading is still in validation.

  1. Start on your home screen. While parked, open Uber Driver. Have Dasher installed and signed in too.
  2. Open Recent apps. From Uber, swipe up and hold, then release. With button navigation, tap Recents.
  3. Tap the Uber app icon. Use the app icon above the card—not an offer button inside it.
  4. Choose Split screen. Your phone may call this “Open in split screen view.” Menus vary by device.
  5. Select Dasher. Choose Dasher for the other half. If it is not listed, check your phone’s app picker.
  6. Keep both apps visible. Adjust the divider so the offer details fit. RideGrade access must already be enabled.

Menu names and split-screen availability vary by phone and app. If it does not work, use one-app mode.

Should I accept an offer in both apps?

We recommend accepting only one offer at a time. Do not keep two active trips or orders across the apps. After choosing one, pause or go offline in the other app yourself.

What if Split screen is missing?

Availability depends on your phone, Android version, and each app. Check your manufacturer’s instructions. If either app cannot stay visible and readable, use one-app mode. This tutorial is not a compatibility guarantee.

Which RideGrade permissions do I need?

Accessibility lets RideGrade read DoorDash and Uber offer screens: the pay, time, distance, and pickup and drop-off details on an offer, whether you tap Accept or Decline, the screen that follows, and whether the driver app shows you online. Full-screen text fallback is on by default once you agree to RideGrade’s disclosure. Overlay access displays the bubble. Review and grant each in Android Settings. Location is separate and optional: it places you on the Map and Zones screen and measures shift mileage from your route. This website cannot enable those permissions.

See what each permission does

Why is one read gray or missing?

An offer may be incomplete, obscured, expired, or not readable in that layout. Keep both offers visible and check the source apps. Gray means insufficient reliable information, not necessarily poor pay. RideGrade shows a bubble for each app only with Pro+ or its free preview, and with Multi-App turned on in the RideGrade app. Otherwise it shows one bubble at a time: the offer that came first keeps it, and the other app’s offer takes it when the first one ends.

Is Multi-App available now, and which plan includes it?

Once RideGrade is on Google Play, Multi-App Compare comes with Pro+, which you buy in the RideGrade app. On Free, you can try it first with the free 14-day Pro+ preview. Without Pro+ or its preview, a split screen shows one bubble at a time. Multi-App compares Uber and DoorDash offers. Live offer reading is still in validation. The examples on this website use example screens and offers.

How do I return to one app?

On many phones, drag the divider to an edge to leave split screen. That changes the layout; it does not necessarily stop incoming offers. Pause or go offline using the other app’s own controls.
